More door prizes were drawn. By the end of the day, everyone had received a door prize.
Brenda Bush of St. Luke's Hospital
Brenda Bush, NICU nurse and patient advocate at St. Luke’s Hospital spoke about how Project Linus blankets make the neonatal ICU less institutional and comfort the families of premature babies. St. Luke’s Hospital provided the cakes for our 10th Birthday celebration. Thank you, St. Luke’s!

Nineteen blankets vied for the honor of being declared the 40,000th blanket created by Kansas City blanketeers. Make a Difference Day attendees voted for the winner with money. After counting approximately $117 in votes, the quilt made by Mary Cason was declared the winner. Click to see all nineteen blankets

The day ended with the announcement of the winner of the drawing for the sewing machine from Creative Sewing Center. Beverly Gronemyer of Paola, KS won a Pfaff 1121 sewing machine.
